Graduating, Moving, and Mowing

Well, I can hardly believe it, but my time as a student is over. It's a weird feeling - this is one of the biggest transitions I have ever made in life. Getting married was a big one, but for some reason this feels so much bigger. Maybe because my parents came for graduation; they flew home the same day the movers came to pack us; the next day I started driving to Utah; and soon I will be working (for the rest of my life, as they say). It's been an emotional week for me, as I am learning to cope with such a big change for us.

The moving has gone good so far. We are enjoying furninshing our new house that we are renting, and I am anxious as I see the $$$ get spent quickly. Oh well, such is to be expected when moving, especially to your first real house (something other than a college apartment).

Today I went to Sears and bought a small push mower. The grass here hadn't been mowed in probably a month, so I was excited to do some yard work. The excitement lasted for about 3 minutes into the mowing. The grass was so tall (about to my knees) that I had to keep going over it like you would vacuum a spot of dirty carpet. Two hours (and several blisters, like 5 on one hand) later, I was finished. It doesn't look spectacular, but at least it is done.

We have lots of space here, so we welcome visitors! We are excited and happy (and, I will admit, very nervous) about beginning this next phase in life.
