PHX is HOT.

As the title would suggest, it is rather warm here in Phoenix. The company flew me down on Monday night to take part of some training meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday. As it was my first business trip, I was pretty excited. I stayed in the Hilton Squaw Peak resort - a very nice hotel with it's very own "water park."

On to the heat - on the way to work this morning (at 8:00 AM), the car thermometer read 100 degrees - AT 8 IN THE MORNING. Last night I decided to take a dip in the hotel pool. Well, the pool water literally felt like hot tub water, and the hot tub water felt like you would be boiled alive if left unattended for too long. All things considered, I am convinced that we made the right choice in taking the job in Salt Lake instead of Phoenix.

Little Houdini

So the other day I went in to get ainsley from her nap and LOOK! How did she get under her mattress of her pack and play, especially when it is velcroed down very well.

Our 4th of July was good. We went to a pinic for Jonathans Grandfathers reunion and had wonderful brisket sandwhiches. Then it started pooring down rain. Luckly it stopped in time for fireworks. We lit some off our selves but due to Utah state law the fireworks were all fountians and nothing big, and beautiful. But it was fun to shoot them off for Ainsley to watch. She enjoyed the show of all different kind of bright lights shooting from the fireworks. Posted by Picasa

Our Little Cowgirl.

My little COWGIRL! Can you see the cowboy booties? Angie gave them to Ainsley as a gift and they are so adorable. She would fit right in Texas. Posted by Picasa

We were able to go visit Aunt Helene and her family. We went to the swimming pool and had a blast. This was Ainsley first time in a pool and the water was COLD!! So we tried the hot tub and it was TOO HOT! But we still had fun putting our feet in the water. Posted by Picasa

Blogging from the MacBook

Jayne mentioned to me that the blog is in need of an update.  This is our first post from our new MacBook (White, 2.0 GHz).  We missed having a laptop, so we decided to get one of the new Intel based MacBooks.  There were many reports of users having several problems with their MBs (whining, mooing, heat issues, etc).  I am happy to report that our MB is free of any problems, although it does get very hot.  And while it gets hot, it is not significantly hotter than the last PC laptop we owned.

Ainsley is doing great!  She is still such a little pixie; so petite.  We anticipate that she will have quite a growth spurt soon...we hope.  Her walking continues to get better and better, now we just need to work on her speech (she hasn't said any words yet).

Work for me is going good - still learning my role as a Policy Manager in the Risk Management department.  I think that it will be a great opportunity for me.

Jayne is enjoying her time at home with Ainsley.  We meet so many couples here that both work in order to be able to afford to live in the homes they live in.  We feel blessed that Jayne is able to stay at home while I provide for our needs.

I need to find a tool (much like Picasa) that will allow me to post photos to our blog.  Right now I am using Google's Blogger widget for Mac OS X.  Hopefully I can find something that will be useful.
