southlake ward festival

On October 21st we were able to go to the southlake ward festival! It was so much fun! They had a bounce house, games, pumpkin decrating, food, horse rides, tug a war, and trunk or treating! It was a great time! Plus the live music and great chili helped out a lot!! Here are a couple of pics! Ainsley loved looking at the horses! She also loved the bounce house!

She finally did it!!!

Well after waiting a very long 2 1/2 years!! Ainsley has finally reached 20 pounds!!! yeah!! I weighed her on our home scale and it says 20 so i am so excitied! I like to weight her often just to see where she is and it said 20! i couldnt believe it! She is now legal to sit face forward in the car!! yeah!!! When you look at her you cant really tell how skinny she is unless you pick her up. But she is skinny! She now weighs at a normal 12 month old would weigh! Physicaly she has cought up from being a preemie! Her height is normal weight of course is low. But she is jumping and running all of the normal 2 year old stuff. She is behind on speech and is geting speech therapy. She still has her sensory issues and will be starting up occupational therapy ( like feeding issues) next week. It only took them 3 months for her to be put into it! in Utah she had OT and it was a weekly feeding class but here in Texas they dont do that they come to your house, so I guess they have been busy so much so that they couldnt get a therapist till next week. But she weighs 20 Pounds! yeah!!!! We are doing the happy dance!!!

Out with the new, in with the old.

Some of you may remember a post last March about the RX-8 that I purchased. It was a very fun car to own and to drive, but had it's issues. I never liked the fact that the A/C never blew ice cold air (an inherent issue with a rotary engine that runs almost twice as hot as a piston engine), and the gas mileage was AWFUL - about 16 mpg whether I grannied it or drove it like I stole it. The gas mileage was bugging me so much (because without a moment's notice gas could go up to $4/gallon), that I began exploring other more economical vehicles.

I don't know where I first got the idea, but the Toyota MR-S (aka MR2 Spyder) became very appealing. I found this beauty, a 2001 with decent mileage, TRD Sportivo suspension kit, and aftermarket ground effects and wheels. Very cool. Cool enough to drive down to Houston to buy it. The mileage has improved by nearly 50%, and I get looks everywhere I drive it.

Pre-Ordered:

Traded in a couple of the games that were collecting dust and reserved a copy of Mario Galaxy (released on Nov. 12th). Everything I have heard, read, and seen indicates this game will be baller.

I think that if the game has the name "Mario" attached to it, there is a high likelihood that it will be an excellent game. I remember playing the Mario tennis and baseball on the GameCube and thinking, "this is really cool." I wouldn't mind having all of the Mario titles in my collection... sounds like I need put together my Christmas wish list already...

Thank You!

I just wanted to tell everyone who wished me a happy birthday how wonderful it was! It really made me happy! I have to tell you that yesterday (Oct 17) was day that went to so wonderfully that you just cant stop smiling and then your checks start to hurt because you are smiling way too much! But it was well worth it!! I woke up happy, Ainsley was so good like she new it was my day! I didn't have to get onto her at all! Which is really good for having a 2 year old. My birthday started really on Monday cause Jewel came and spent the day with me and we planned our pajama party, and she got me a really cute bracelet. Then on Tuesday my friend Amber dropped off a cake she made for me! And it is so yummy!! I love cake! Then to my actual birthday day. I had my "food soul mate" (it is a joke because we found out that we love the exact kind of fast food and candy) drop off what else Taco Beuno and Reese peanut butter cups and it was so cute she stacked the Reese's and put a candle in them! That totally made my day that some i just met at book club would remember and actually come and bring it to me! i was so impressed! Plus it was the 2ND time that some one I just met wanted to remember me on this day! Because the cake I was given the day before was from some one who I just barely met as well! So after that I called Jonathan at work and I said how happy I was to be back in Texas and I am so glad we moved back and said thank you to him. We were living in Utah for a year before this cause it was the first job we got right out of Cornell University in Ithaca New York, out of all the jobs that Jonathan offered jobs it just happened to pay the most which is odd because it is Utah and they are known not to pay the best but this job was great! Plus gave him great experience. Once we fulfilled our contract there we wanted to be home here in Texas! So here we are!! Anyways back to me, I called just to let him know how much I appreciate him for how much he cares for me to get me back home. I didn't like salt lake city at all, but he didn't mind it. Then I received a million phone calls and cards. Then Jonathan took me out on a date to my favorite restaurant of all time The Cheesecake Factory! We shopped some and then went and picked up Ainsley from Grandma's. Then opened my presents from Jonathan. Then my friend Sharee and her husband ( Brandon ) came over and brought me a present and spent time with us just chatting! Which was a perfect end to my day! To see good friends and chat! I just love how everyone is so amazing to think of me and do something amazing sweet for me! I will return the sweetness back I promise!! I want y'all to feel as special as I did! THANK YOU EVERYONE! And especially to Jonathan who is taking 2 days off work to spend time with me and pamper me! I am just being spoiled! I don't want it to end but I know it will! But until then I am milking it for all it' worth!

Play house field trip!

We went on another field trip this friday! It was so much fun! Kristie and Shanon came with there little ones. Ethan, Austin and Mckenna. WE went to a childrens interactive theater play. It was so much fun. During the play the actors would say a line and through out the entire play we would all say it! Then at then end they had all the kids come down onto the stage and sing and dance "Ring Around the Rosies". Which happens to be Ainsley's favorite song! And she sings it like every day with other friends and just by her self on the trampoline. SO she knew exactly what to do! WE had a blast. After words we ate lunch and visited at my home and just had some good ol' girl time! Which I am always up too! Thanks Kristie and Shanon for making the drive out here! Also thanks kristie for driving out here again this week! Can't wait to see ya next week, and Shanon we need to get together more often!

A great day with friends!

Ainsley had her friends Austin and Hailey come over to our house and play! Also not pictured is Mason and Ethan. With a bonus of there mommies coming! So I guess it was more of a play date with Jewel and Kristie for me more than Ainsley. Oh well, we had a blast visiting and chatting it up! The 3 little ones (Austin, Hailey, and Ainsley) played on the trampoline and played "ring around the Rosies" and they were so darn cute! every time they would "all fall down" they would get up and the girls would get off and Austin would stay on the trampoline and them help each girl back on. It was so cute!!! Thanks for coming Jewel and Kristie!

CAli

So Jonathan added pics of Ainsley with our dog Baby but none of Cali so here is a pic with Baby and Cali.
