Today Ainsley started her first day of preschool at Freedom Elementary! There is only 14 more days left of school but since she is now 3 she can not receive services through ECI any more. They kick you out and send to school. They wanted to have her start just to get use to the teacher and the rules of the classroom. I as a mom did really good, I only called once to check on her (which they told me I could). I called half way through at 9:30. She starts at 8 am till 11 am and by then she is ready for a nap!
When I picked her up I talked to her teacher Mrs. Austin and asked how she did, and she said "wonderfully!" She didn't cry once and she was so well behaved, sat in her chair the whole time during circle time, plus even stayed at her centers when she was suppose to! I was so relieved and so happy to hear she did awesome! Now only if I can become awesome to feel okay about leaving her everyday. That will come I guess!
