Update on Bobby + 1 Week Pics
Jayne is at the hospital right now with Bobby Ray, so I thought I would post a short update on how he is doing. Most of the tests for infection have come back negative (spinal, CBC, urinary cultures all look good). The neonatalogists think that he was probably not truly 36 weeks, but a little bit more premature than that. His sucking / feeding is similar to that of a preemie - he just doesn't have the strength to breast feed very well... unfornately for him, we had no idea when we brought him home.
Bobby has moved up into the PNCU (pregressive neonatal care unit), suggesting that the doctors feel that he is making good progress and should be able to come home soon. He just needed a couple of days to rest and beef up. Did you know it takes 1/3 the energy to bottle feed than it takes to breast feed? Jayne will continue to breastfeed, but will supplement via SNS or a bottle.
Now to the good part, the pictures. We had these pictures done at 9 days old... we were both very pleased with the result.
Funny story on this picture: We have a similar picture of Ainsley (though she is much smaller), so we wanted to get this done with Bobby Ray. As you can see, no diaper... without going into any details, lets just say that when Ainsley looks at this picture, she says, "Bobby Ray is poopy!"

Prayer request
Please pray for our family. Yesterday I noticed Bobby Ray having some watery stool and so we took his temperature and it was really low. So I called his pediatrician and they told me to take him down to cooks. Well he was admitted to the NICU. He is having a hard time keeping his body temp up and the Neonatologist said he is just acting a little preemie and he was treading water here at home and it just caught up too him. He has lost more weight so they want to beef him up and make sure he can hold his own temp. They think that he hasn't mastered the whole suck swallow breath motion since his heart rate dips down while nursing. I am not going to give up hope from nursing though he just needs to beef up some and learn the suck swallow and breath motion. They are also going to run some test as well like they do on all preemies. I just thought he was in the clear so I am having a hard time. I know he is bigger than Ainsley was and that he doesn't have all the tubes like Ainsley had but no matter what leaving your baby at the hospital is still hard no matter the size or complications. Just thought the family and friends would like an update and please pray. Thank you.

1 Week Old!
Here is Bobby Ray meeting his name sake, My Dad! My dad was beaming when he held him. He also couldn't believe that we really named him after him. It was so cute to see them together. The funny thing about his name is that it was not any of the names we picked out before having him. His name choosing was Jonathan's job since I named Ainsley. But the first night after his birth Jonathan's mom and sister came up to the hospital to bring Ainsley up there to so she could meet her baby brother. Jonathan was sitting in the rocking chair just rocking Bobby Ray and just looking at him. As he was looking he looked at me and said I have a name for you but we haven't discussed this name at all. I was like okay nervous for what he would come up with and he said Robert Moorman Klingler after dad! I was shocked as all get out! So that is how Bobby Ray was named.
Ainsley is adjusting a lot better since we are home. She loves her baby brother. She also like to help when she can by giving him is pacifier or trying to help when I am nursing. The first time she saw me nursing though was in the hospital and it totally freaked her out and she was quite upset. The second time she saw me nursing was at home and she was telling the baby "Don't' bite baby Don't bite" "Mommy you okay?" it really concerned her. But now she is used it and tries to help.
This picture is of my Mr. Man at 1 week old. He is such a delight to have and so far a good baby. I hope it stays that way. I just love this little guy of mine.
This picture is of the comparison of Ainsley when she was born (her birth size doll) and Bobby. Bobby Ray is so big! He came home from the hospital weighing 5 lbs 1 oz. up from the day before. He got to 5 pounds even in the hospital in weight loss and he was one ounce from them giving him a bottle with out my permission. He was not allowed to lose more then 10% of his weight so they said 4# 15 oz was the cut off and he just barely made it. We took him to the Dr for a check up on weight and jaundice on Thursday and he is now 5# 2 oz. and doing great. His jaundice levels have also came down! Which I am so happy about!!
Jonathan has been home helping me and he is such an amazing dad and help. I don't know what I would do with out him. He makes me so happy every day. I am the luckiest girl to have such a wonderful husband. I love seeing him with our children and how much he loves and cares for them and for me. During my pregnancy and now in recovery he has really stepped up to the plate and have done everything in the house and he does it so well too! Thank you honey!

Robert Moorman Klingler
We would like to introduce to the world, our son, Robert Moorman Klingler. He is named after one of the greatest men I know. I have decided his nickname will be Bobby Ray.
Rob was born weighing 5 lbs. 8 oz., and measuring 18.5 inches long. The delivery (c-section) went great, and little Bobby Ray entered the world without complication. Jayne and baby are both doing great.
I just want to take a second and let everyone know how proud of Jayne I am. She was told beginning week 23 that she would never make it as far as she did (including her OBGYN that we believe God led us to 3.5 years ago). But she was determined to give this baby the best start possible. I have nothing but respect and admiration for her strength and faith and optimism. I love you, Jayne.
I'm having my baby today!!
His lungs came back good so i will have a little guy around 3 pm today! yay!! We are so excited to meet him and them maybe we will have a name for him. Look for an update from Jonathan later tonight or tomorrow for pics.
