Easter 2011

In there outfits!

We went to my dads for dinner and an Easter Egg hunt. It was so much fun! The kids enjoyed it. Also the day before we had another hunt with Jonathan's siblings with a feast that was good as well. I am so blessed to have my family close to family and have fun on the holidays.

Dinos at the Zoo

Ainsley is really into Dinosours and so Kelli told me they were coming to the zoo for the month of April. Last Friday was a half day so Kelli and I took the kids to the zoo. It was hot but the kids were so good! They loved seeing the Dinos. There was this random boy that came by and told Ainsley they were fake and she put him in his place by saying yes they are. So funny! She thought they were real. She even tried feeding the long neck with grass, but he wouldnt eat it so she said "I guess his not hungry." And was sad that we forgot to bring meat for T-rex, oh and they are nice too. So fun!

Warrior Dash!

I cant believe I did the warrior dash! It was fun! It was 3.5 miles of obstacle courses. It was so much fun and rewarding. The only bad thing was a guy that was next to me wearing a kilt with nothing underneath. I lost count of how many times I was mooned! But over all it was fun.

My Dads birthday

For my dads birthday I made him a quilt out of my moms clothing. I can't believe I finished it in time. My house suffered but I got it done. It is a queen size quilt. I am so grateful for my mother in law giving me tips. To my sister in law Susan coming over and helping me make a pattern. My sister in law Melanie helping me pin it on the frame so I could tie it. Natalie letting me use her quilting frame and pins. Last but not least Sue for letting me use her surger. Thank you ladies! Yall all made it possible! And he loved it! We all tried not to cry while opening it.

My Dads siblings

So when my mom passed my dads siblings came to support my dad and be here for the funeral. So of course I had to take a pic of them all together. There is only one missing and that is after my aunt Bobbi and before my dad there is my uncle John who passed away while I was in middle school. But besides him they were all together again. Now a little back story my dad is named after his dad who was named after his dad and well you get the picture. Anyways since their dad was called Robert or Bob my dad went by his middle name growing up, David. So when ever you talk to my aunt or uncles they call him David. My poor mom did not know this when they first got married. They went to Tennessee and they were calling him that and she was what is your name. Then when my dad would get together with his military or college buddies they call him Smiley. So my dad has a few names. But we got it all straighten out. I hope Jonathan picked it up that my dad was David while all my aunts and uncles where here or maybe he was confused too.
