Our Church History trip.
We spent the day yesterday visiting several of the Church History sites in and around Palmyra, NY. Palmyra is about an hour an a half away from Ithaca, so it made for a perfect way to spend the day. We started by visiting the Smith Farm and Sacred Grove, followed by the Hill Cumorah, and finished with the Peter Whitmer farm (where the Church was organized).
From the Smith Farm, the Palmyra Temple appears through the trees. It has quite a dramatic effect.
This photo makes it look like Mom and Dad are standing in front of a blue screen, with the background digitally added. (They REALLY are in the sacred grove.)
