Potty Training
I want to do it! I want to be diaper free! So any one have suggestions on how to do it? I would call Jewel but her sister is getting married today and so her whoe family is in town for the excitment. So I am asking yall! I am started googling it and trying to read up on it. But here is my concern. 1) I have a brand new house and I do not want to just let her run naked and have her peeing all over my brand new carpet. 2) I am trying today the 15 minute timer thing and not so much working. 3) It is to cold to let her just teach her self outside. These were suggestions I have already gotten and I just want some more ideas. So how did you do it? What worked for you? Ainsley will sit on the potty but that is it, no business being done. She is over the age of 2 and I don't want people looking at her thinking man she shouldn't be in diapers any more. So help me out!

I had a cousin who went and got some little toys from the dollar store and when her daughter would use the toilet she got to pick a new toy each time.

With Joshua we tried the potty training in one day method. My mil gave me a book about it. It worked okay. it still took about 6 months but I don't think that he was ready to start potty training yet. (My mil said she trained all 5 of her kids in one day using this method. with eliza (just turned 2) she started on her own because of the example of Joshua. My niece did the same thing. She spend one day at my house and after seeing both Joshua and Eliza use the potty all she ever wanted to do was sit on the potty. My sister could not get her to go in the potty either so one day she just took the kid potty every where she went and had her
sit on it. She eventually went. Eliza wants to go anytime Joshua goes. She eventually figured it out on her own with no help from me. She is in underwear now. though some days she can go all day without an accident and other days are not so good. I have a spray bottle of easy to reach carpet cleaner. Good luck. Its not easy but definitly worth it. Sorry this was so long!

Both my girls started potty training 3 months before they turned 3. (Thats when they were ready-I tried before that but they weren't ready) We did cold turkey. It took 3 days but it worked. Everytime they would go I would praise them like crazy (then they don't expect a treat or a toy every single time they go. Aubree was night time potty trained right away and Addie is still working on it at 3 1/2. Going #2 also takes a little bit longer. Aubree would give me a diaper to poop in because she hated pooping in the toilet. Cute underwear helps too.
